April 26, 2006....Yesterday we visited the surgeon and he is very pleased with her lip. He gave us some ideas of what might be a head for Sierra with healing of the lip and and surgerys (that's if needed in the future). He said we will know more the further she is with healing. He is planning on seeing her in July to see how everything is healing. As you can tell in new pictures from today that Sierra is very happy!! What a beauty...even with some lunch on her face!! She is always happy when her big brother Corey is around!!!

April 23, 2006....Three days post surgery and Sierra continues to recover and heal from surgery. Her swelling has gone down some and continues to go down daily. She is very proud of her new smile. She is wanting to show it off to everyone!!

April 22, 2006...Sierra is home and recovering from such a tramatic couple of days. She had her tubes put in first and then Dr. Hansen did her cleft lip surgery. She woke up so confused and angry.....but I don't blame her!!!!! She did not like being connect to an IV and all the other machines in recovrey. She was in and out of it for the first couple hours by waking up and then almost immediatley going back to sleep. But what a trooper she is!!! She got use to wearing her elbow splints and being hooked up to the IV pretty quickly!! By the afternoon she was pretty hungrey but who wouldn't be since it was over 16 hours since she had anything. I have to say she looks so awesome!!!!!!!! When she first came out of surgery she was very swollen and she looked so much like her good friend Kiana who has such beautiful chubby cheeks. Well, this morning, her swelling is going down on her right side but her left side is still pretty swollen. She continues to eat very well and she is now drinking from a regular cup independently. Very happy to see that because now we can get ride of her sippy cup. Her personality is coming back which is another good sign. Once again thank you for all your prayers and support. You are all so awesome and we are so blessed to have you in our lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 16, 2006 What a busy day for Sierra!!! She was baptized in the morning, celebrated her first birthday in the states which is actually her third birthday and had a huge Easter Egg Hunt at her Aunt Maria and Uncle Mark's house later in the afternoon. She looked so beautiful and was just shining so brightly after her baptism. Some of the shine was from all the oil Father Terry put on her head during her baptism but she did smell very nice!!!! Because my dad is still in the hospital and could not actually baptize Sierra, we had my dad bless the water that Father used.

April 11, 2006 I just wanted to let everyone know that Sierra is scheduled to have her cleft lip surgery and have tubes in her ears on April 20. Prayers are greatly appreciated that she gets well because she is battling a upper resp. virus and we need it cleared up prior to surgery. Prayers are also needed for a successful surgery. She continues to be doing very very well. She is saying more and more words in English. She continues to need a cue to say them but sometimes she surprizes us!!! We still believe we have been so blessed to be able to call her our daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

April 3, 2006 Great news...Sierra is now accepting of Socks (our dog) and Pouncer (our cat) It just happened on Saturday!! She all of a sudden thought they aren't too bad and matter of a fact they are very funny. Still no pictures of her with them but that will come soon!! She had some of her cousins over Sunday afternoon. Here she is on the swing with her cousins Jaco and Tia. Up in the right hand corner she is acting like her mommy with driving while talking on the cell phone. She loves to brush her teeth...here she is sharing her brushing time with her big brother Billy.
