Sierra's adoption

Below is the Lyrics to a song that Third Day recorded. The first time heard the song I was at work and I was in tears. Someone had put in words what we were feeling during our wait for Sierra. And now during the upcoming holidays we will be feeling the same with our longing to bring Jianna home.

Last night we went out for dinner for Corey's 19th birthday. He chose the restaurant and wanted to go to the China Buffet in East Peoria. As always at end of the dinner we all got our fortune cookies out and read them. Sierra and I had the same cookie and it read.......................What a man thinks is what makes a man. On the back it taught you how to say daughter in Chinese. Those of you who have taken the adoption journey understands the longing for signs and connections to your daughter or son. I believe this is another one of those signs in the red thread connection to our precious Jianna.

Thank you for all the prayers!!!!

Here are the lyrics to the song Merry Christmas by Third Day

There’s a little girl trembling on a cold December morn,Crying for Mama’s arms,At an orphanage just outside a little town,With a forgotten heart,But half a world away I hang the stockings by the fire,And dream about the day when I can finally call you mine.

It’s Christmas time again but you’re not home,Your family is here and yet you’re somewhere else alone,So tonight I pray that God will come and hold you in His arms,And I’ll tell you from my heart, I wish you Merry Christmas.

As I hang the tinsel on the tree and watch the twinkling lights,I’m warmed by the fire’s glow,And outside the children tumble in a wonderland of white,And make angels in the snow. But half a world away you try the best to fight your tears,And hope that heaven’s angels come to carry you here.

Christmas is a time we celebrate the Holy Child,And we celebrate his perfect gift of Love,He came to us to give His life and prepare a place for us,So we could have a home with Him.

It’s Christmas time again but now you’re home,Your family is here and now you’ll never be alone,So tonight before you go to sleep I’ll hold you in my arms,And I’ll tell you from my heart,And I’ll tell you from my heart, I wish you Merry Christmas.

As some of you who still review our blog have read a few months back, The Wanless family was on another steps in proceeding with another paper pregnancy. Well, just like any pregnancy, it had a curve in the road in which Mike and I needed to relook at our marriage and had to take a step back and rest before going on with another paper pregnancy. We are still working through our struggles but we know God is calling us again and this time even more powerful then before. It is as if God put us and our daughter on hold so he could get somethings done before we truly begin another wonderful journey to bring our second daughter home. We cannot go into details but when we can we will. We are asking those who still remain in contact with our blog to please begin praying again for our newest daughter Jianna Maya Terese. Please pray that we are given as her parents and family the wisdom, power, peace and love that she will need for us to find her as well as what she will need when we bring her home. This paper pregnancy might take even longer than Sierra's but the Wanless family is ready to take this journey with Christ to bring our daughter and sister Jianna home. We are also asking and pleading for anyone and everyone to pass this prayer request along. We know the power of prayer and that is what our hope is relying on.
God Bless to you!!
